- 8 vs 1 Keep away.
- Mark off a circle with cones that measures approximately 10 yards in diameter.
- Eight players should spread around the circle standing just inside the cones.
- One player stands in the middle of the circle.
- Players on the outside play "keep away" from the player in the middle.
- The players that spread around the circle must: (also, be sure to read Variations and Restrictions below)
- make one touch passes to players inside the coned area but must not pass to their neighbor (the players on either side of the player passing the ball) and must not pass the ball back to the player from where it came.
- play and receive passes within the designated area.
- If a player spread around the circle ...
- makes a bad pass to a player or ...
- passes the ball outside the circle or ...
- gets his/her pass intercepted by the player in the middle or ...
- makes a pass to his/her neighbor or makes a return pass from where the ball came ...
- THEN that player goes in the middle and the middle player takes the vacated position and play begins again.

| Competition, Variations& Restrictions: |
- If the game is to easy for the players ...
- have fewer players on the outside (7 vs 1 or 6 vs 1) or ...
- make the size of the circle smaller or ...
- each player is only allowed to pass to certain players or any or all of the above.
- If the game is too difficult for the players ...
- add players to the outside (9 vs 1 or 10 vs 1) or ...
- make the size of the circle larger or ...
- remove passing restrictions or any or all of the above.
- Keep track of the highest number of consecutive passes before the ball is intercepted or a bad pass is made.
- Keep track of the number of "tickets" a player receives. A player receives a "ticket" each time he/she has to go in the middle. At the end of the drill, the player with the most "tickets" has to do 5 push ups or some consequence.
